SallyAnn Jackson Candidate for President Elect:
I am writing to express my sincere interest in serving as President-Elect of NYSASN.
Having proudly served as Secretary on the Executive Board for the past two years, I
have gained a deep appreciation for our organization's mission, the dedication of our
members, and the important work we do to advance school nursing throughout New
York State.
My time as Secretary has provided me with valuable insight into the operations and
strategic goals of the organization. Through this role, I have collaborated closely with
fellow board members, participated in key decision-making, and remained committed to
supporting initiatives that strengthen our profession and promote excellence in school
health services.
In addition to my leadership experience, I remain committed to my own professional
growth. I recently returned to school to further my education and am currently pursuing
my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Continuing my education reflects my
dedication to lifelong learning and my commitment to bringing current knowledge,
evidence-based practice, and strong leadership skills to both my nursing career and
NYSASN.
I believe my experience on the Executive Board, combined with my passion for school
nursing and my commitment to continued learning, has prepared me to take on the
responsibilities of President-Elect. I am committed to fostering collaboration, supporting
professional development, advocating for school nurses across New York State, and
ensuring our organization continues to grow and thrive.
If elected, I will lead with integrity, transparency, and a spirit of service. I value the
diverse perspectives of our members and am dedicated to building strong partnerships
that will advance the mission of NYSASN while addressing the evolving needs of school
nurses and the students we serve.
It has been an honor to serve as Secretary, and I would be privileged to continue
serving NYSASN as President-Elect. Thank you for your consideration and for the
opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our organization.
Sincerely,
SallyAnn Jackson, RN, ASN
Secretary, NYSASN Executive Board
