“Creating Effective Nurse Mentor Programs” was a feature of NYSUT’s Annual Professional Issues Forum on Health Care, April 13, 2019. Methods to design successful programs were described by Lori Ciafardoni, DNS (c), MSN ED, RN, FNP, Associate Professor of Nursing, State University of New York Delhi and Janice McPhee, MSN, RN, NCSN, NYSASN’s Annual Conference Chair.

On November 6, 2018, Robyn Butlein RN, Lakeland Central School District, (far right) facilitated a “School Nurse Grand Rounds” with School Nurses of the Mount Pleasant School District along with Carol Bumbolow RN (not shown), who arranged for representatives from St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Mental Health Association to discuss hospitalization and school reentry. On the far right is Traci Holtz, Director of Pupil Personnel Services who also presented on DBT.
