Camp Health Supervisor – Girl Scouts of Western New York 

Girl Scouts of Western New York is seeking health supervisors for their day and overnight summer camp programs.  Must provide care and administer treatment in accordance with the New York State Department of Health, Girl Scouts of the USA, HIPAA and the American Camp Association. Current certification in one or more of the following is a must: EMT, LPN, RN or PA (New York State code part 7-2 8A).  Camps located in Rochester, Buffalo and Jamestown areas.

LPN – ACHIEVE Summer Program

Duties and Responsibilities: The Summer Program Nurse is responsible for the evaluation, supervision, and/or provision of participant’s nursing care and health maintenance program, as well as staff training in health and medical issues. 

The Summer Program runs for 6 weeks and it is held at the Chenango Forks High School.

Camp Nurse Position – Camp Taconic

We are looking for an RN or LPN to work at our camp from June 11th until August 11th. This position is 6-days/week with 10-hour shifts. Room and board are included. Our camp is located in the culturally rich Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Camp Taconic has a strong on site team of medical professionals, which includes a staff of 1 pediatrician, 5 Registered nurses, and two nursing assistants. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing first aid when needed, and accompanying them to the hospital if necessary
  • Communicating with doctors and local hospitals
  • Dispensing medications
  • Ensuring the health and safety of our campers and staff
  • Weekly camper health checks for campers
  • Record keeping
  • Communicating with parents of campers

We provide an excellent and competitive salary!

Nurse Manager – AHRC Nassau

The Nurse Manager is responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to the Nurses and Health Center staff. In addition assuring that the Health Center runs smoothly and effectively for both campers and staff. Off season, the Nurse Manager is responsible to attend and manage one Respite weekend per month, and parent information sessions. Also responsible for managing the camper’s medical paperwork and files, attending camp meetings and communicating with the camper’s families and all members of the camp team. College degree and NYS certification as a registered nurse required. Good organizational and administrative skills and an excellent team player with a positive attitude.
