The diabetes education & management program at Teachers College Columbia University is conducting a study to gather data regarding a need for Diabetes Care and Education (DCE). The content focuses on and addresses issues that middle school students with type 1 diabetes experience.
The purpose of this survey is to determine if there is a necessity for Diabetes Care and Education (DCE) content for school nurses in the form of an application “app” or program that focuses and addresses issues that middle school students (ages 11-14 years old) with type 1 diabetes experience.
The needs assessment survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
The survey link is open to School Nurses meeting the following criteria:
- work in middle schools or junior high schools
currently care or have previously cared for students with type 1 diabetes within the ages 11-14 years old
