Dear NYSASN Member, I am a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin (School of Nursing) with a focus on adolescent mental health and school nurses. I am conducting a nationwide online survey of school nurses, for my dissertation study, to provide a better understanding of the current mental health interventions that school nurses provide to their adolescent students (grades 6 through 12), as well as factors that may support or hinder them. Learning about school nurse current practices will help identify opportunities to provide additional support, allow for advocacy to create positive changes in mental health interventions, and can have future policy implications. Can you please share this survey with your school nurses? It should take 20-25 minutes and it will make a positive difference.
