School nurses are often leading the charge for STOP THE BLEED® programs in their schools. We also know that getting a budget to purchase STOP THE BLEED® kits can be a challenge. Therefore, we are writing to tell you about the National STOP THE BLEED® Day project Scholarship Program. We are offering college scholarships to all U.S. high school students, and the schools of the winning students will receive free STOP THE BLEED® Kits. As students are home during the pandemic, and financial uncertainty is the new norm, students may be interested in such opportunities now more than ever.
The application deadline is May 10, 2020. For more information about the National STOP THE BLEED® Day project Scholarship Program, please click here.
Scholarship awardees will be announced on National STOP THE BLEED® Day – May 21, 2020. This day is designed to heighten public awareness of STOP THE BLEED® by making it easy for individuals and organizations to get involved in the campaign.
The National STOP THE BLEED® Day project is supported by the US Department of Defense, the American College of Surgeons, the American Red Cross, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and many other private and public sector organizations across the country.
We welcome you to share this scholarship information with your members who may be interested in this wonderful opportunity for their students and their schools.
Please contact us if you would like more information or if you have any questions.
Thank you.
