Join the Center for Vascular Awareness, a capital region nonprofit, for the 4th Annual V-Healthy Day on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
V-Healthy empowers high school students to better understand the impact of Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity, Smoking, and Genetics on their Vascular Health decades later. We are looking for volunteer educators (physicians, nurses, NPs, PAs, technologists and students (nursing, NP, PA, & medical)) to help us at the 18+ participating high schools.
On this day, volunteer medical professionals from community hospitals, medical offices, insurance companies, nursing and medical schools will be assigned to one of the participating high schools to empower and educate students about the importance of vascular health, its risk factors, and prevention. This is also an opportunity for educators to connect with high school students who are considering pursuit of a career in the medical field. We will be working with health, biology, human anatomy & physiology, and biomed high school students. This is a great opportunity for nursing students to share their journey with these prospective students and connect with nurses and physicians already in the field.
