Come join us for an evening of panel discussion featuring varying perspectives from clinical experts, media personnel, professional athletes, and parents who will cover the hot button issues around concussion in the media. This will include discussion on rules changes in youth sports leagues, current concussion research, and “return to play” best practices.

Our panelists include:

William Barr, PhD, Director of Neuropsychology at NYU Langone’s Department of Neurology.
Ken Belson, Sports Journalist for the New York Times
Dennis Cardone, DO, Chief Medical Officer of the NYC Public Schools Athletic League and NYU Concussion Center Co-Director
Gerard Gioia, PhD, Pediatric Psychologist of Safe Concussion Outcome, Recovery & Education (SCORE) Program and Division Chief of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Health System.
Jacqueline Harris Hochberg, Parent of a child who has had a concussion
Taylor Twellman, Retired Professional Soccer Player; ESPN Commentator

The event will be moderated by Ted Shaker, a Former Executive Producer at CBS Sports, and Director at NYUSCPS Sports and Society Program.
