Greetings School Nurses, NYSASN Members and Board of Directors,
Today is School Nurse Day- and we mean it when we say this is our favorite day of the year.
We as School Nurses show up every single day for students who need us. We catch what other miss, we advocate for students who can’t advocate for themselves, and we do it all with limited resources, limited backup, and unlimited dedication.
School Nurses are compassionate, temperature taker, head lice checker, curer of headaches, stomach expert, keeper & giver of medicine, vision & hearing screener, indispensable and we give tender loving care to our students.
You’re the best. We at NYSASN are grateful for all of our School Nurses.
We thank you for all you do while “Caring for New York’s Future”. As Florence Nightingale once said, “Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses … we must be learning all of our lives. “Together we are stronger!
NYSASN offers excellent education conferences and represents school nurses at the state level. Our conferences offer more than educational opportunities. It’s a time to have fun and unite with our school nurse colleagues.
